Nice to meet you
Early Life and Education: I grew up in Escalon, a small, close-knit town in California's Central Valley. Life there revolved around farming and neighbors looking out for each other—you could hardly go anywhere without running into someone you knew. After high school, I attended San Francisco State University. City living was eye-opening for me and sparked my love of exploring, whether near home or across the world.
Family and Community Involvement: One of the most unexpected turns in my story happened at a PG&E training at the San Ramon Valley Conference Center—that’s where I met my wife. We immediately connected. Eventually, we moved back to Escalon and are now raising two sons here. Our days are filled with family barbecues and spontaneous outdoor adventures, just like when I was a kid. I also serve on the board of one of the area's largest family farms, which keeps me engaged in the local agriculture community and allows me to give back to the town that shaped me.
Professional Philosophy and Leadership Style: In my work, I find true fulfillment when I can help others develop. I aim to mentor in a way that encourages independence but am always available to support when needed. I rely on data and LEAN principles to streamline processes and boost efficiency, yet I also value input from my colleagues. If something isn’t working, I want everyone to feel comfortable sharing their concerns so we can resolve issues together.
Personal Growth and Perspective: Having dyslexia has significantly influenced how I approach life. I stay open-minded and try not to take feedback personally—actually, I see it as motivation to improve and view things from fresh perspectives. I’m naturally curious and love learning, whether it’s acquiring a new skill at work or discovering a fun fact at home.
Vision and Impact: Ultimately, what I care about most is making a positive impact—at home, with friends, at work, or in the community. Whether I’m volunteering, mentoring, or simply listening, I want those around me to know I’m there for them and always striving to make things a little better.
